If your car is
stolen anywhere in the UK, a signal is sent , from the car, to the RAC
Trackstar National Control Centre. New signals are sent every 20
seconds.
The integral computer, developed by Trafficmaster Plc, the UK’s
leading journey management company, provides the vehicle’s exact
location, speed and direction using GPS positioning. This is more
effective than other competitive systems, which rely on the
stolen vehicle being near to an appropriately equipped police car.
The RAC Trackstar National Control Centre, which is manned 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year, will immediately contact the Police in the area
where the car is located. And because the Control Centre will be
receiving updated information every 20 seconds, the Police will be
constantly updated on the vehicle’s position.
Once the Police have apprehended the thief, your car will be returned
to you by the RAC.
